Mayday in the Alexandra Park was a washout and without the Urban Stage, most of the younger crowd stayed at home.

The Energy event at Pals went from after-party to main event with Rampage from 1Xtra ramming the dancefloor from beginning to end.

The old skool garage room was also rockin' all night long with skilled MC's underlining faultless mixing from all the DJ's

and ‘do you really like it?’ MC DT, backed up by the DJ’s and MC’s which really made it happen for ipswich back in the day.

Energy - Part 1 Review

Following an amazing Mayday experience in Alexandra park, it was time to enjoy the night time hype for the official after party at Pals.

It was no surprise that the first Energy was going to be a road-block and with queues of over an hour to get into Pals it was bound to be a special night. There were 2 rooms, the main room with R'n'B, Hip Hop, Reggae Dancehall and Bashment flavours and room 2 with current Bassline, Funky House and fresh Garage with a few classics thrown in.

DJ Stranja warmed up the vibes with a superb blend of R´n´B/Hip Hop, leading into a wicked 100% Bashment set from Skippa J himself.

Lady K, the special guest of the night played a class Funky House and Bashment set and Daddy Turbo kept things A-list with an old skool Ragga and Reggae set.

It was a great launch for our newest promotion with everyone partying hard all night. If you missed this one, you had better not miss the next !
